Superhawk 915G turning up in Compucon Stable Print
July 2005
Compucon New Zealand has released a new Superhawk model for the P4 performance desktop system segment. This new model is based on Intel 915G chipset supporting the latest Intel LGA/775 type of P4 processors from 2.8GHz up to 3.6GHz with 1MB of L2 cache. This model also supports the latest PCI Express bus for VGA and other low bandwidth devices whilst retaining 3 spare PCI slots. New features of this model include 7.1 channel high definition audio capability, Gigabit Ethernet network interface, RAID 0 (data stripping) or RAID 1 (mirroring) for up to 4 IDE hard disks and support of up to 4 Serial ATA hard disks. We appreciate that most businesses do not require these extra features but we expect this model to become the standard for business computing for the next 12 months. The current Superhawk 865G model is still available but supply is limited.
