Compucon releases Blade Server systems with Local Technical Support Print
August 2007
Compucon New Zealand has achieved a new milestone in announcing the release of Blade Servers.  As many people do not know what a blade server is and why we should use blade servers, we have prepared a white paper to explain the basics as well as to provide an update on the state of the art.  Please click here to download the white paper. Blade Server is mainly  a technology for achieving total cost of ownership by reducing management, maintenance and rack space rental costs.  It provides a better infrastructure than the standard rack mount server arrangement by applying a higher level of signal and cabling integration.  Compucon New Zealand started with desktops in 1992, was the first local vendor to develop dual processing systems in 1997 and expanded the product portfolio to include rack mounted systems in 2000.  We have taken another step to supply and support Blade Servers as from 2007.
