Introducing the new SATA RAID kit Print
February 2006

SATA hard disk (HDD) is gaining popularity at the expense of IDE and SCSI. While this phenomenon needs some clarification, it has prompted us to look at the RAID Kit for SATA to replace the equivalent kit for IDE. We have now completed our testing and passed such a model ready for use. It is more expensive than the IDE version. In view of the protection that it offers to business data and the fact that SATA is more future proof, the extra price is justifiable. This SATA RAID kit is truly hardware based, not software or just hardware assisted. If one drive fails, the other will continue operation and keep all customer data intact. Replacing the failed drive will resume the protection. Its operation does not use any CPU resource.
