This system is designed to be a central server supporting a workgroup or a small department of users up to 10.  The computation engine is based on a single Intel Conroe processor that is the latest and best offering from Intel for the last 5 years and up to 8GB of main memory.  The platform is an Intel E3210 server chipset providing PCI-X as well as PCI-Express support.  There are 2 GbE ports on board.  The above features indicate that this server will do well when the workload on computation by the workgroup is not high (which will otherwise require Dual Processors and more memory).  This system is not a beefed up desktop and is indeed a true server grade server with compatibility and reliability well incorporated.  Add HDD, RAID card, back up tape drive and OS to complete the configuration as desired.  SX = Single Xeon
