2017-11 Code of Conduct for Meetings
November 2017
All formal organisations, conferences, and workshops in the civilized world practise a code of conduct or code of ethcis.  Compucon has practised a code of ethics almost since day one (being 1 May 1992- latest version can be found at Main Menu/About Us/Compucon Behaviours/Compucon Team Beliefs), and we realised that we should publish a code of conduct as well for gatherings, seminars, and meetings.

We would like to adopt the one being practised in the international SKA organisation. The guidelines are repeated below for ease of reference.

Please follow these guidelines:
  1. Behave professionally. Harassment and sexist, racist or exclusionary comments or jokes are not appropriate. Harassment includes sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, sexual attention or innuendo, deliberate intimidation, stalking, and photography or recording of an individual without consent. It also includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or religion.
  1. All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual or sexist language and imagery is not appropriate.
  1. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees.
