Teaching IT to students: a suggested curriculum using Open Source Software.

With the new proposals for an IT curriculum now out, one can start putting ideas together for the delivery of this. In this talk Albert will look at some Open Source Software packages and tools that may be useful to teachers in this regard. He will also make some suggestions as to the level and complexity of the topics to be offered. Time allowing, a video clip will be shown illustrating some of these ideas.

Albert has special interests in the evolution and use of Open Source Software, and has published numerous papers about Open Source.
