Any copy of Windows XP (or Office 2003) bought from Compucon New Zealand with a valid Microsoft upgrade voucher has a redemption number included. Record this redemption number and the COA (certificate of authenticity) number for your own records. For Win XP (and Office 2003) bought from Compucon New Zealand and activated after 26 October 2006 and without an upgrade coupon, use the following redemption numbers:

For Windows Vista upgrades, make sure that the PC meets minimum Vista specifications.

Make sure you have the following information ready and then go to the correct Microsoft website for the upgrade request.

1. Confirmation that the machine can run Vista
2. The date of activation (must be 26 October 2006 or after)
3. The Redemption number
4. The COA number
