The same Tesla (Fermi) family of GPUs for High Performance Computers (M2050 series) are available for workstations (models C2050 series) which have an active heat sink, allowing users to turn standard workstations into personal supercomputers.  The M series has passive heat sink only and rely on server chassis fans for ventilation. The technical performance specification is otherwise identical for the 2 series.
