April 2011 |
The GSW-2400 is designed to allow simultaneous transmission of
multiple packets via an internal high-speed data channel. This means
that it can partition a network more efficiently than bridges or routers
in most environments.
The PLANET GSW-2400 provides 24 Gigabit
Ethernet Switch ports and 2-Mini GBIC interface. The PLANET GSW-2400
delivers 24 ports worth of high-performance, feature-rich integrated
Gigabit Ethernet switching over traditional copper cabling. Each port
supports 10Mbps, 100Mbps, and 1000Mbps as well as half/full mode and can
be easily connected to corporate backbones and servers. The GSW-2400
also provides 2 Mini-GBIC interfaces for fiber extension to uplink to a
server or network backbone. With a 48Gbps non-blocking switch fabric, 4k
MAC Address table, and 802.3x, full-duplex flow control, the GSW-2400
offer wire-speed packet transfer performance without risk of packet
loss.
All 24 RJ-45 copper interfaces support 10/100/1000Mbps
auto-negotiation for optimal speed detection through RJ-45 Category 6, 5
or 5e cables. MDI/MDI-X auto detection is provided for direct wire
connection to any Ethernet device without requiring crossover cables.
