Intel launched the first wave of "Sandy Bridge" microarchitecture at
CES 2011 in January. It will release the remaining processors based on
"Sandy Bridge" throughout the rest of Q1 2011.[3][4]
- All models support: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST), Intel 64, XD bit (an NX bit implementation), TXT, Intel VT-x, Intel VT-d, Hyper-threading, Turbo Boost, AES-NI, Smart Cache.
- Xeon E3-1220, Xeon E3-1225 do not support Hyper-threading.
