[Internal] Intel RST email notifications via gmail Print
February 2021

Intel Rapid Storage Technology management software does not allow us to include a password for sending email notifications for the SMTP server.

A tested workaround is to use the Gmail server to send the notification mails from and to your own Gmail address:

    SMTP Host: aspmx3.googlemail.com
Sender e-mailaddress: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
Recipient e-mailaddress: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Finding the IP address of IPMI set by DHCP Print
October 2020
  1. Connect the IPMI interface to a network with a DHCP server. It will obtain an IP address via DHCP.
  2. Using a client system on the same network subnet, run a command prompt with administrative privileges
  3. Go to the utility folder and type in:  findit 00-25-90-xx-xx-xx aa.bb.cc.255, where: xx-xx-xx is, the MAC ID of the target IPMI interface, and aa.bb.cc represents your network subnet address.
    • Example: findit 3c-ec-ef-17-cd-2a 192.168.1.255
    • The utility will return the IP address of the IPMI interface in the command prompt if it finds a matching MAC address. If not, check the out2.txt file for all non-matching MAC addresses found.

Download the Find_IPMI_IP.zip utility:
