The picture below shows a Wireless Access Point enclosed in a Weather Proof enclosure being installed in a subsurb in Rotorua recently (year 2008).  The Wireless Access Point obtains its power over Ethernet.  That is, the technician needs to connect the Wireless Access Point to an Ethernet Switch that is the Power Source as well as the data switch and he does not need to install a separate cable to supply power.  The installation process is simpler.  Also, the installation is tidy.
